Shingle Roofing

GERMAN ROOFING provides shingle roofing materials and assembly. Roofing shingles, when installed correctly, overlap one another as individual pieces.

We recommend the use of fiberglass asphalt shingles over most other roofing shingle materials due to their lightweight build, fire resistance, and impressive durability and longevity. Moreover, a study has found that fiberglass asphalt shingles last an average of 25 years longer than most roofing shingle variants.

Slate Roofing

GERMAN ROOFING also installs slate roofing. Slate essentially consists of finely grained sediments of different earthbound materials, including pumice and clay. Slate is a good option if your number one priority is longevity because slate shingles can last well over a century in ideal conditions. However, if price is a major factor, this would not be the best choice because they can cost over three times as much as other fiberglass asphalt shingles.

Shakes are another fairly popular choice due to their rustic look and design appeal. Shakes are made up of logs and are also known as wood-based shingles. They are commonly used on the exteriors and roofs of homes around the world. For added protection, we recommend higher grade shakes for your roofing needs to provide added protection against the elements. While shakes are unique and will give you a rustic look, they also come with a higher upkeep cost and require regular maintenance throughout the lifetime of your roof.
